One quarter-final and a round-of-16 match today – Barry Boyd def David Lynn in their quarter final 3 & 2 whilst Rolfe Heldt def Ron Bensky 1 up in their round-of-16 match.  Rolfe will play Tony Fisk in a quarter final to determine who advances to the semis to play Steve Edmondston.  In the ‘top’ half of the ladder, Steve Parkinson is to play his round-of-16 match against Alan Smith on Friday to determine who progresses to a quarter final to meet David Hayes, with the winner of that tie to play Barry Boyd in the other semi-final.– Ladder: attached

Another foxy encounter:
Two foxes appeared near the bunker on the right of the 2^nd fairway today – one picked up David Lynn’s ball, then dropped it, only for the other to pick it up and disappear into the bush with it.
